Rafael Nobre is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Rio de Janeiro, with a degree in Graphic Design from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). His work brings together illustration and design, exploring the possibilities of both disciplines to create expressive and distinctive visual projects.
With extensive experience in the editorial and advertising markets, Rafael works with clients in Brazil and internationally, including Samsung, Flatiron Books, EA Sports, Penguin Random House, Abrams Books, Salvat, Bloomsbury, and Companhia das Letras.
In his illustrations, he combines digital and traditional techniques to develop a distinctive visual language characterized by vector shapes, rich textures, vibrant colors, and conceptual narratives.
His work spans a range of areas, including book covers, editorial and packaging illustration, and projects for both print and digital media. Rafael also teaches at Domestika, where he shares his creative process and professional experience in a course dedicated to book cover design.
