A Simbologia trazida pelo título foi o ponto de partida para que eu pensasse o projeto gráfico de Espelho Partido. Quando a personagem quebra o espelho, ela se questiona acerca daquilo que vê e das suas lembranças "Os pedaços de espelho, desnivelados, refletiam as coisas tal como eram? E de repente, em cada pedaço de espelho viu anos de sua vida passados naquela casa". Me questionei se é na imperfeição que um ser humano se revela – e, seguindo o fio da imperfeição, cheguei ao movimento cubista, que preza por representações impactantes pois justamente imperfeitas. O cubismo tem como característica não ser fiel à aparência real das coisas, tenta ver além das aparências. A tipografia escolhida soma-se à intenção de uma composição fragmentada e conflituosa.

The Symbology brought by the title was the starting point for me to think about the graphic project of A Broken Mirror. When the character breaks the mirror, she questions herself about what she sees and her memories. "Did the pieces of mirror, uneven, reflect things as they were? And suddenly, in each piece of mirror, she saw years of her life spent in that house ". I wondered if it is in imperfection that a human being reveals himself – and, following the thread of imperfection, I arrived at the Cubist movement, which values representations that are impactful because they are precisely imperfect. Cubism is characterized by not being faithful to the real appearance of things, it tries to see beyond appearances. The chosen typography adds to the intention of a fragmented and conflicting composition.
